Israel, Hamas, Who’s to Blame?

Published by beaconwriter at 4:29 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

You and I live side by side in a sprawling subdivision.  Five acre lot minimums, so we’re close but not breathing on each other.  Every couple of months, I lob a few mortar shells onto your property, killing a few family pets and destroying a couple of outbuildings because I don’t think that you should be allowed to own the property that you do.  You tell me to stop.  You ask the home owners association to make me stop.  You report it me to the police but nothing happens to me and every couple of months just to show my contempt for you, I lob a few more shells.  How many reasonable people would question you taking action to stop my “attacks” after having exhausted all other means?

I hope not many, yet it seems the world is shocked by Israel’s surge into Gaza.  They have endured far worse, over many years.  Constant attacks, whether through suicide bombers, rockets, Scud missiles, threats from Hezbollah, Hamas, Iraq and Iran: endless.

This time Israel has decided that they’ve had it and the Palestinians are surprised.   The world is surprised.  The problem is that most of  those decrying the attacks and demanding that they end because of the loss of civilians don’t like Israel in the first place.  Not the U.S. Government officially, of course, but many U.S. citizens and much of the world.  Perhaps the fact that they exist at all is the strongest verification that they are God’s chosen people, as the Old Testament claims.  Against all odds, Israel continues to exist and with relative success.

The conflict stops immediately if Hamas stops firing rockets killing Israeli civilians.  Simple solution.  Where is the world’s outcry for that to occur?  I’m not Jewish but I hate terrorists.  Terrorists are cowards unwilling to coexist with those who should have the freedom to disagree.  Whether the targets be embassies, nightclubs, abortion clinics or countries, terrorists are wrong.  Everyone should have the freedom to disagree without having to hide in bunkers.

Whether you agree with the existence of Israel or not, understand that if you support the actions of the Palestinian terrorists, you jeopardize your own freedoms by giving their approach validity.  Every country has the right to protect its citizens.  That is all Israel, a country recognized by the world community as a sovereign nation,  is doing.

The existence of Israel is cemented. People need to stop talking about the Jewish States’ existence as if it were temporary. Israel, in the eyes of God and the bible, has existed for well over 2000 years and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, Hezbollah, or Hamas included. Israel, according to accurate biblical, Jewish, and educational scholars will be the last nation standing. It is truly God’s country. Those that fight against it labor in vain. The final battle is shaping up. Muslims against Christian and Jews. The extremism the world is experiencing is not by happenstance. It is a part of the end time biblical prophecy. Anyone who doesn’t believe me only have to look in the Book of Revelations. This book details which nations rise up against Israel right down to who is on whos side. Read it and weep.
